Devotees and Swaminarayan swamis, or monks, engage in daily rituals and devotional practices to worship the deities. Before dawn, the day begins with the singing of prabhatiya (morning hymns) to awaken the deities. The murtis are bathed, offered food, and adorned with appropriate garments based on the time of day and season. Food offered to the deities, known as prasadam, is considered sacred and distributed to devotees. Five aarti ceremonies are performed daily, where devotees sing hymns glorifying God while waving a lighted wick before the murtis.Ongoing Development and Future Plans:

To protect the mandir from harsh weather and enable year-round use, a decorative mandap or enclosure was built around it. This structure is 87 feet wide, 133 feet long, and 42 feet high. The entrance to the mandap, known as the Mayur Dwar, is adorned with carvings depicting peacocks, elephants, and celebrated Hindu devotees from the past.
The construction of the mandir was primarily carried out through the dedicated efforts of artisans and volunteers, who collectively contributed an estimated 4.7 million human hours. These volunteers engaged in various tasks, including design and engineering, coordination of stone carving and shipping, site preparation, lighting and electrical wiring, polishing, cleaning the assembled marble, tent-building, meal preparation, and offering medical services.
On August 10, 2014, the mandir was officially opened to the public following the consecration of the murtis in the presence of Pramukh Swami Maharaj and senior swamis of BAPS. The opening ceremony saw the presence of several dignitaries, including New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, Maryland Rep. Steny Hoyer, Pennsylvania Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick, New Jersey Rep. Frank Pallone, New Jersey Attorney General John Jay Hoffman, and Indian Consul General Dnyaneshwar Mulay. The event was part of a three-day celebration that included a grand yagna, where participants prayed for world peace, and a women's cultural program focused on interfaith harmony. More than 20,000 visitors took part in the various events.
